Solport Sessions

Leveraging decades of expertise in identity system design and branding, Dave Kirkwood has expanded his practice into professional adult education and consultancy through Solport Sessions. These weekly, half-day online workshops take place from a creative retreat located in the northernmost reaches of Cumbria, near the Scottish border. The sessions draw upon a continually growing repository of materials, ideas, cognitive tools, and process-driven prompts, while also offering reactive consultancy tailored to individual needs.

Solport Sessions are designed for those who are authentically interested in interrogating notions of personal and professional identity. Participants span a wide spectrum, including business owners, designers, marketers, writers, musicians, architects, and even celebrities and their management teams. This diversity of perspectives enriches the sessions, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas around identity and authenticity. Due to high demand, sessions are often booked months in advance.

To meet the needs of those unable to attend in person, Solport Sessions regularly shares content via Substack, offering paying subscribers access to an expanding archive of downloadable resources.

Solport Sessions is also evolving towards the creation of a residential creative retreat, where participants will engage in full-day workshops, drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape and local produce. This retreat is part of the broader Various Titles Patreon initiative, which seeks to make this vision a reality.
